Yes. The PDF tools on AwesomePDF are free to use, with no subscription and no sign-up required.

No. Supported tools process your files in your browser using JavaScript and WebAssembly, and AwesomePDF does not upload your documents to a server. A few tools download fonts, language data, or helper scripts the first time you use them; your documents are not part of those downloads. The app also keeps a short list of recently used file names on your device, which you can clear at any time from the clock icon in the header.

Yes. The OCR PDF tool can recognize text in scanned pages so the PDF becomes searchable. Results depend on scan quality and language, and the OCR language data is downloaded the first time you use it.

AwesomePDF Share is a planned feature, coming soon, for sending files directly from one browser to another over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection. It is not available yet and is not part of the tools listed above.
